Hansen Headlines

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We had a wonderful holiday. It was our turn to have the kids home so we had a full house and it was awesome. Heather, Lily and Leif were the first to arrive. They flew in on the 16th. Lily had appointments at Shriner's Hospital for her scoliosis. Everything is going well. She will remain in her brace at least until May. They will reevaluate then. Mike and Jake came the following Thursday in the middle of a blizzard. Mike, Jake, and Craig went up in the Uintas and cut a Christmas tree Saturday morning. Jake loved snowshoeing and he picked out a great tree. Megan and Tom arrived just in time for the Hansen family party at the Rodees. It was a great party and it was wonderful to see everyone. It had been a long time since everyone had been together. We missed all of those who were unable to attend. Ben worked through the 24th and he and Maggie joined us for Christmas Eve activities. Waking up Christmas morning and having everyone here was the greatest gift in the world.

We had a great time with Jake, Lily and Leif - playing games, building a snowman, watching movies and playing with toys. It was really fun.

As adults we played too - cards, dominoes, apples to apples, - and we watched movies and we just sat around and visited catching up. It was great.

As usual, it all ended much too soon. Meg and Tom had to leave Christmas Day. They both had to work the 26th. Mike and Heather and family left the 30th - again in a blizzard, and Ben and Maggie left Monday. Needless to say it is very, very quiet.

Craig and I have been cleaning and snowshoeing. We went up in the Unitas. It is so pretty and quiet. We love it.

New Year's Eve was quiet. We fixed dinner and watched a couple of movies. We did make it until midnight and welcomed the New Year.

Tomorrow it is back to work. It is a good thing it is a short week. It will take me those three days to get back in the work routine.

We wish all of you a very happy and healthy new year.
