Winter....Winter......Winter

Our back yard. Add another 6 inches from the time I took the picture.

Up above Woodland We took this of ourselves.Too bad our arms aren't longer!

It was a gorgeous day! Not a soul was around. We saw lots of animal tracks.

What a great winter we are having! Snow, more snow, and even more snow. It is wonderful because we certainly need the moisteure. Unfortunately for Craig most of the snow has been during his commute. So he has had a lot of cautious driving days this year. He has seen lots of accidents and lots of slide offs - mostly 4-wheel drive vehicles that think it doesn't matter how fast they go because they have 4-wheel drive
Craig spent until 10:30 Thursday night shoveling Grammy's roof. She had developed a couple of leaks. He went over again yesterday (Saturday) morning and did some more. The snow was up to his knees on the roof.
We were in between storms yesterday. It was a beautiful sunny day so after Craig finished working on Grammy's roof, we went snow shoeing up in the Unitas. It was beautiful and we had a great afternoon. When we got home we went out to dinner and to a movie. We saw Waterhorse. It was a cute movie.
It is snowing again today. We are supposed to get 12-18 inches. Cool! So it looks like our exercise for the day will be shoveling. Megan called and said her church is cancelled because of all the snow. We will be watching the Super Bowl after church today. I'm cheering for New York. Craig is for the Patriots.
Heather's dad came and spent a couple days with us. He came out to ski at Park City. It was fun to have him here. He had awesome skiing. Thursday was a sunny day with new snow. And Friday they had 2 feet of new powder. Couldn't ask for much better than that.
I went to a conference in Salt Lake on Thursday. It was excellent. I'm going to teach a short workshop on it at school for our next professional development. I'm busy with classes and working on my masters project. But I am enjoying it so that makes the time and work a little easier.
My brother Bruce and his wife Kathy got away for a few days to a resort in northern Minnesota just in time for the big storm that hit. Bruce said the wind chill was -50. But they hunkered down and were warm and safe. I'll bet it was kind of fun.
Well the groundhog saw his shadow. Six more weeks of winter! Cool!
